Hello sweeties,
Remember the vintage photo of the sad little girl I showed you in a previous post? This time I added some colour to the photo and used it in a collage on an old book cover.
I got the inspiration for this one by looking at the beautiful work of Nancy Maxwell. If you don't know her work, be sure to visit her blog Sugar Lump Studios.
Now there is a secret to this collage, and the one below too. You tell me if you notice my little secret and I'll tell you in a future post if you were right :)
Beneath the girl it reads:
“If you’re feeling a little blue, try painting
yourself a different colour”
Which is after a quote of a 8 year old girl called Hannah.
The collage is my project as DT member of City Crafter for this week's challenge. Dear Ros asks us to make a project with clouds and the colours of an inspiration photo.
Guest designer with us this week is the talented Bligu. Please visit her to show her some blog love. And check out the beautiful work of our dear team members here.
Happy week!
xx Wen
Oh my goodness, that sad little face just makes my heart melt. Those soulful eyes........ I adore the collage you created around this little girl, the composition, the colours, the beautiful little embellishments, it is just gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteOh how I love that sad little forlorn look on that little girl.
ReplyDeleteI have noticed that you have coloured her dress the most beautiful blue to go with the words.
Such a pretty composition and sweet words Wendy,
Wish you a lovely day,
Hugs,
Suzy
Lieve groet, Daphne
This is so very sweet ... I love all that lace and I love how you coloured that photo!
ReplyDeleteJust lovely! The soft colors and blending are beautiful! Thanks for sharing:-)
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Terri
Adorable collage, that little girl is so sweet! I am guessing your little secret might be on that ticket/tag you have tucked in behind your sweet little girl.

Robin
Liefs, Ira xox
