Time flies!
The first month of this new year has already gone...
As a gift to dear friends I'm making little fabric wraps.
Nothing fancy, but it takes me forever to finish it.
Above is a sneak peek of the work in progress of one of them.

Features of last party
Please respect the copyright of the artists featured

First feature is one that really touched my heart.
Dear Karen of Rooster Head Designs wrote a beautiful post on being genuine.
Accompanied by a gorgeous card she made
with the photo of the man that inspired her in this.
Next is another of the stunningly beautiful soldered charms
which Marie of Lost Bird Studio made.
So so gorgeous!
And then I'd like to feature the beautiful work of
Dorthe of Den Lille Lade, again...
This is a page from her new fabric journal I just had to share with you,
which she's making after the wonderful workshop by Suzy Quaife,
which you can find HERE.
An online workshop I can highly recommend!
On to this week's party!
SIMPLY NEUTRALS #16
What neutral coloured beauty did you find or make or buy or receive?
Post anything in neutral colours,
be it cream, white, grey, beige, silver and/or brown.
A creation you made or received, home decoration, a statue or architecture, or anything out there that you were allowed to take a photo of.
Your wraps look nice, I know what you mean about trying to get into that creative mode, it is easier to get into that mode with my cards then with fabric and yarn though. Your friends will be thrilled with them I am sure whenever you get them done. Have a wonderful week
ReplyDeletedat ziet er weer heel mooi uit allemaal. Ik was dit weekend in Brussel, als je ziet wat ze daar allemaal voor mooi kant hebben.... net iets voor jou!
ReplyDeleteDearest Wen, I am so in love with your fabric wrap, how very beautiful, with the tiny cross, and soft old fabrics. Love your crocheted flower..did you recognice, that I used one you gifted me on the card for Christmas ?

Lovely work again from all. I won't be joining in the next couple of challenges, I am having knee replacement surgery on the 22nd, but will be back again when I have recovered. Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteHi Wen,
ReplyDeleteI hope you get your creative energy back soon. Your wrap looks so sweet. Dorthe's page was lovely, and Marie's pendant amazingly gorgeous and covetable. I enjoyed Karen's heartfelt post, too.
I'm glad you are OK, Dorthe. Good news to hear.
Love to all,
Jesse
Hi Wen! I understand when our minds get into that crafting funk. I just push myself to make something, anything! I also try not to compare myself to others. That's a biggie for me. Anyway your creations are always lovely and the creations from the other ladies is always inspirational as well! Have a wonderful rest of the week!

Thank you for featuring my card! (blush :') I appreciate that so much. And to see Dear Dorthe and Marie's beautiful creations as well. They always inspire me. Aren't they amazing artists! And dear friends too~ I am behind these days, but am 'genuinely' grateful for all you do my friend~ Karen O
Altijd mooi, jou kanten creaties!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great link up, glad I have found you!
ReplyDeleteMust admit to great curiosity about what a fabric wrap is? Is it a bracelet? I gather it's small, so can't be a full body version, so the only thing I can think of is a bracelet. No matter - it's pretty, no matter the size!
