The Revelation ~ collage hanger

Hello dear blog friends,

Over at City Crafter I saw a challenge that I really really like.
You have to add (a) book page(s) to your card or project.
I love old book pages!!

But I only had one day before closing time...

Never mind, I'll do a project
and then I'll see if I can finish it on time, I thought.
If not, too bad but I'm having fun creating anyway.
But I managed it, yay!!

It's a shabby romantic collage hanger.

Layers are:

- a canvas
- on which I added an old Bible page (well, a print of it to be honest)
- a wooden picture frame on top of that (just the frame)
- inside the frame I put a piece of cardboard, cut in shape by hand
- on top of that an antique image of St. Catherine
- butterflies and flowers cut out of book paper and given a vintage look
- some lace and a beautiful ribbon I won in a previous challenge at CCCB (which reminds me I still have to show you all the pretty gifts I got then...)
- a piece of fabric which I torn and crinkled and made a flower out of it and I used it also for the hanger
- buttons and a bead
- leaves, also part of the gift mentioned above
- little wooden butterflies, which I painted with some gesso
- a flea market thing of which I have no idea what it was originally, but it comes in hand now for the hanger.

So this one is for the #141 challenge at CCCB.

xx Wen
