Hello dear friends

A warm welcome to Simply Neutrals

Thank you so much for your sweet well messages and well wishes! My back is getting better and I slowly started creating again. I'm busy with a junk journal for a swap and I hope to be able to make a video of it when it's finished. Never done that, so we'll see how it goes :)

For the background I used two of my own texture photos. One is of a fabric, and the other one is a close up of the texture of a giant mushroom. I will try to remember to share that one in another post. We went on two beautiful walks this weekend. Saturday in the dunes and Sunday in a National Park with heather fields and bogs. It was such lovely weather and of course I took lots of photos, the giant mushroom being one of them. I hope I will remember to share some of those later this week :)

Let's continue with Simply Neutrals now!

Feature of last week

How could I not share with you this week some of the gorgeous hearts that dear Suzy of SuziQusThreadworks created! Suzy, you really filled that post to the brim with utter gorgeousness! I'm in awe and you never fail to inspire us.

Here below are only two of the photos she shared.
If you haven't seen the rest of them, I highly recommend you go visit them HERE.

Dear Suzy, here is your "featured" blog button :)

Pinterest request for you all

Now, I do understand that you would love to pin these beauties to your pinboards, but please don't pin these hearts from my blog, but from Suzy's blog instead, to give her all the credit she deserves. (And this goes for all the work of other artist shared here on AppleApricot. Please pin from their own blogs, the links are always provided.)

On to this week's party!

SIMPLY NEUTRALS #34

To join the party, please keep the following things in mind:

1) Please link only to the blogpost that contains the photo(s) you want to share, and not to your blog's homepage.

2) Kindly link back to AppleApricot by putting a link to my blog in your blogpost.

Of course you're most welcome to use the blog button of Simply Neutrals Tuesday as well
(which can be found in the sidebar of my blog)

3) Link ups to both new and older blog posts are welcome.
Of course it would be nice if you link up to a new or recent blog post, but if there is something from the archives you'd really want to link up here, then please feel welcome to do so.

4) You can link up from your blog, but if you do not have a blog but would love to link up from your instagram or other social media account, that's perfectly fine too.
Beware though, that may be not everyone can come visit and/or leave you a comment there.

5) Please take time to visit some of the other link ups and send them some love.
The most recently added link ups will show in the list first.

Time for the link up!

xx Wen

  1. Wen, I am sorry to read about your back. I hope it continues to improve. Your digital freebie is just gorgeous! I cannot wait to see the journal you have been working on. I was able to join in this week, cannot tell you how this challenge still motivates me! Seems that the doctor or errands is all I do. Art is an alien to me now! Thank you so much for this challenge! Hugs! Nancy

  2. Dear Wen
Such good news that your back is now on the mend enough to go go out on some bushwalks once again and even being able to get back into your creating stride once again. The digital scrapbook page looks gorgeous and I look forward to seeing your completed junk journal also!

Thank you sincerely dear Wen for featuring some of my hearts last week. It is I have to admit once of the most exciting and rewarding things I love to create and even more being able to share them with others!

Wishing you continued improvement with your back and look forward to you next week hosting our No. 35 Simply Neutrals!

  10. Hello Wen, I'm so glad your back is on the mend and you're able to walk and create! Suzy's hearts were indeed absolutely divine, and very apt for Valentine's Day.
Yes, almost Spring for you, my favourite season (full of flowers, of course!). Autumn approaches here, but we are lucky to have a mild climate and it is very comfortable for us - I usually swim in the ocean until May, the last month of Autumn, as the water stays warm. it lags almost a season in temperature behind the air temperatures.
So, Happy Almost Spring to you!

    Hugs,

    1. Thank you so much sweetie :) Spring and Autumn are my faves among the seasons. Autumn used to be my fave number 1 but lately Spring is taking its first place rapidly :) It must be the flowers, yes! How wonderful to be able to swim in the ocean so late into the season. I used to love surfing in Autumn, the water was still warm then.
Big hugs and happy almost Autumn to you! ;)
