Hello dear friends,
it's time for party #19!!
Thank you so much for all you sweet ones who join the party so faithfully!
Seeing all of your gorgeous creations, I just had to get creating again too,
although actually I didn't have time because I should be studying for an exam instead!
So I made a quick little card to satisfy both needs :)
I got particularly inspired by these ladies:
Features of last party
First up: Karen of Roosterhead Designs.
She made a gorgeous mixed media album, filled with photos of her ancestors.
Below is the front of this album.
And here's one of the page spreads:
You can find more photos of this gorgeous album HERE (and scroll to top there).
Next up:
Two gorgeous canvases by Nancy of Sugar Lump Studios.
Gorgeous textures and dresses.
And I love the photo of the beautiful girl on this dress below.
I would love to have a party dress like the one below!
So gorgeous!
And last but not least a gorgeous tag made by Jytte of Kort Og Andet Godt
She only shared this one photo, so this is it for this week.
Here's your "featured" button, girls!
Every week I'm in awe of the beautiful things you all share
and believe me, it's hard to choose!
On to this week's party!

SIMPLY NEUTRALS #19
What neutral coloured beauty did you find or make or buy or receive?
Post anything in neutral colours,
be it cream, white, grey, beige, silver and/or brown.
A creation you made or received, home decoration, a statue or architecture, or anything out there that you were allowed to take a photo of.
I played along this time! It's a horrible picture, but it's pretty much impossible to take decent photos of something large in a small apartment bedroom. I don't often work in neutrals so I'm happy that I finally have something I can share.
ReplyDeleteDear Wen,
ReplyDeleteoh my, your card is so beautiful! I just love everything about it.
All the other creations are all just so lovely too.
Many hugs,
Karen B. ~ Todolwen
So sweet and beautuful!
ReplyDeleteHave a good time and Happy Easter
Such a sweet card Wen! and one of Bouguereau's most favourite works in my eyes! It is so so pretty! So what is the exam?
ReplyDeleteLove Nancy's dear little dresses and, of course, the Generations Wedding Album is amazingly created by Karen - so beautiful indeed! Plus love Jytte's card also.
I continue pining to create but have to be patient for the time being. So many ideas crowd my mind in between the packing and organizing of which there seems to be limitless amounts!
Take care dear Wen and thank you once again for being there for us all. Enjoy all the beautiful works!
Love and hugs,
Suzy

ReplyDeleteThank you for also showing Karens amazing book with all the family weddings, a lovely idea, dear Karen,-and oh Nancy`s beautiful dress up canvases , I love them. So fun that Jytte, also a Danish woman, is joining here, her card is beautiful, too.

Hi Wen and thank you for hosting another inspirational Simply Neutrals Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteYour card is amazing and very inspirational to me. I like your choice of neutral fabrics layered in such a way. Each one compliments the others. And the darker gauze & lace give it warmth and focus. A mini vintage masterpiece! Thanks for sharing. The image is amazing too~
I thank you for featuring my Generations book this week. It is very dear to my heart and was such a joy to complete~
I am always in awe of Nancy's work! What wonderful canvases; full of beauty, texture and whim! I remember visiting her blog when I was first serious about 'creating.' She would inspire and encourage me with her art; and her tutorials @ Etsy too.
I have found such beauty @ Jytte's blog! and am glad to have a new source of inspiration there. What a lovely vintage tag she created. I'm too long winded today!; but I find your SNT so supportive~
Blessings to you friend~ Karen O

ReplyDeleteHello Wen,
ReplyDeleteI'm late again, hopefully not too late!! Things have been hectic around here, with a big concert last weekend, and two more this week (one for St Paddy's Day tonight), then 3 more at Easter. Then I shall take a breather and get creative. I'm so inspired by all the beautiful creations coming through your Simply Neutrals parties. Thank you so much for hosting again.
Your card is divine - it's funny how often when you are pushed for time, something comes together quickly and beautifully.
Nancy, Jytte and Karen's artworks were all stunning. I'm really loving seeing what everyone creates each time.
Have a beautiful Easter. I must dash to the bus to pick up my daughter from school...
Hugs,
Jesse
