She brings treasures.
Some of which are washed ashore.
Others lost by birds.
Most of my life I lived a bike ride from the sea.
The sound of the water splashing up against the harbor walls,
the dancing of the boats on the motion of the waves.
They're etched in my mind forever.
Although the bike ride is a car ride now,
our home is still quite close to the sea.
So whenever possible,
I love to go there
and gather shells and driftwood.
The mussels have such beautiful colored shells.
And inside is like a blue pearl.
While the outside can be rough and covered with interesting textures.
The soothing sound of waves coming and going.
I feel the sea is changing my path.
My footsteps are heading into new territory.
More days need to be spend with my feet in the water,
to see where the waves will bring me.

Sending you beachy sunshine,

You have me hearing the waves and I can almost smell the salty air from those waves. Walking along the beach and finding treasures is a delightful way to spend a day. I have no beach near me where I live so I shall enjoy yours. June JOY...
