Recently I had my birthday and I'd love to share with you some beauties.
First some vintage laces and fabrics I bought for birthday girl me.

Just look how wonderful this arrived in my mailbox! Oh yummy... There were two packages. The one above had an old bobbin or spool or whatever you call it. The other one had a sweet vintage label attached. Both packages had lace hearts.

I think I'm going to embellish these beautiful hearts even further, though they're beautiful as they are right now. But my mind wandered along endless possibilities with these.

And then I also found a few other wonderful packages in my mailbox.
Sent by some dear blog friends of mine.
One of these contained this gorgeous handmade little book
made by sweet Ira of Ira's Crea Corner.
She had wrapped everything up so beautifully
and had added many more wonderful gifts.
Then there was the beautiful card with wonderful gifts
from dearest Ros of Mikey's Mom.
A beautiful card with gold speckles.
And sweet Kirsty of Handmade Little Things
had sent me a gorgeous hand painted rose card and some sweet tubes.
So beautifully done Kirsty!
I LOVE roses!
The beautiful card in the lower right corner she had sent earlier this year.
So, can you imagine how spoiled I felt? Thank you so much dearest friends, you have made me one very happy birthday girl!

ReplyDeleteIn your latest comment, you asked me if I'd heard of erosion bundles. I was part of an original one with Seth Apter back in either 2009 or 2010. We buried our bundles for six or eight months, then revealed them on the same day. It was a HUGE event. We were also tasked to create something with the bundles we had buried. At the time, I had very little fabric to work with, so mostly went the paper route. To be honest, I like fabric I can actually work with, and, although I did a second bundle a year later using fabric, I was very disappointed because the fabric nearly disintegrated when I washed it.
Thanks for stopping by and leaving such a sweet comment, though. I appreciate that my eco-dyed fabric made you think of erosion bundles.
