Dear fellow daydreamers,
Let's have some romance! Don't we all just love Pride and Prejudice? (If not, please pretend you do.) Did you see the 2005 movie with Keira Knightley? It's not my favourite Jane Austen adaption but I love it still. It's my inspiration resource for week #150 challenge at CCCB, where I'm still the guest designer.
Dear Ros challenged us with the theme "Inspired by a Song." Create a project inspired by a song and tell us what the song is. The prize is a guest designer spot at CCCB!
The music that inspired me is the soundtrack CD of the P and P movie. And this is what I came up with: a stuffed fabric heart hanger. Shabby fabrics, (some tea dyed) lace fabrics, and fabric flowers. All stitched by hand.
I tried to capture the foresty and mossy feeling of the photo which I had used in my project.
Happy crafting to you!
xx Wen

Maar je hart steelt echt de show hoor !!
Werkelijk schitterend !
Je heb bereikt wat je wilde.
De sfeer van de foto komt zo mooi terug in alles wat je er
omheen hebt gedaan.
Hele mooie kleuren. De bloemen en dat tere kant !!
Je brengt een gevoel over. Knap!!

Wilma.

ReplyDeleteYou have created a most beautiful heart and captured the feeling so very well with this forest theme. The colour tonings work so nicely.
A lovely piece and I also love the words and the photo collage.
Not at all depressing to me!
Hope you are feeling more uplifted lately!
Sending warm hugs,
Suzy

Liefs, Ira

I love that you used those mossy colors! Highlighted with lace and fabric flowers of various styles... just lovely! I agree with your choice of movie (even if you like other variations)... and actually, any historical movie with Kiera Knightly I love!

ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I'm so happy to have you join CCCB team ... your work are so gorgeous. And I, have loved P&P since I watched the 2005 version :). Can't have too much of Mr Darcy, aren't we ... the past few years, I've been making mini albums and altered arts with P&P themed in mind so much so, some of my then-colleagues thought I have no family!!. LOL. Keep scrapping these two people :). So, please to know that they're celebrating the 200th year of P& P, I never knew that :). I'm happy to become your new follower!. HUGS.
