Simply Neutrals #38

bird illustrations in gouache by AppleApricot Wen

Hello sweeties,

Welcome to Simply Neutrals!

First of all, my apologies for my absence on your blogs this last week. I have been under the weather, and this (pre-scheduled) blog post is done last minute. I had been thinking about skipping the party this week, but just could not :)

Above are two of the cards I painted for last Christmas.

FEATURES OF LAST WEEK

I made a quick blog visit round just yet and oh my goodness, how am I ever going to be able to choose one feature, with so many gorgeous projects to choose from? I'm sorry, I could not choose one. So here you are, my dears:

But I had to admit that one creature stole the show for me:

So cute!!

Okay, let's move on to this week then.

SIMPLY NEUTRALS #38

To join the party, please keep the following things in mind:

1) Please link only to the blogpost that contains the photo(s) you want to share, and not to your blog's homepage.

2) Kindly link back to AppleApricot by putting a link to my blog in your blogpost.

Of course you're most welcome to use the blog button of Simply Neutrals Tuesday as well
(which can be found in the sidebar of my blog)

3) Link ups to both new and older blog posts are welcome.
Of course it would be nice if you link up to a new or recent blog post, but if there is something from the archives you'd really want to link up here, then please feel welcome to do so.

4) You can link up from your blog, but if you do not have a blog but would love to link up from your instagram or other social media account, that's perfectly fine too.
Beware though, that may be not everyone can come visit and/or leave you a comment there.

5) Please take time to visit some of the other link ups and send them some love.
The most recently added link ups will show in the list first.

Time for the link up!

xx Wen

  5. Hello Wen,
Sorry to hear you've been under the weather. Hope your spark is back soon :) Your bird cards would make great Spring cards, too. They are so sweet and bright. All that gorgeous neutral arty stuff looks so good together in the collage. What a surprise to find Jasper is the star of the show - I put him in as I didn't have much ready to show you all as I've been off photoshopping and Lightrooming every spare minute. And he is rather neutral coloured, when much of my style is not. Of course, he is the star in our household, too! I wish there was a way you could all have a pat, he's so soft and purry!

Thank you dear Wen for making such a big effort to continue the SNT party even though you were sick - I'm sure we'd all cope if you had to postpone it for a week.

Sending lots of hugs and healing wishes,
    Jesse XXOO
