Second wive of King Henry VIII of England and mother of Queen Elizabeth I.
Anne was Queen from 1533 to 1536. Accused of adultery, witchcraft and incest, and brought to the infamous Tower of London where she was beheaded the 19th of May 1536. As were her five so called lovers.
I went to see the Tower of London a few years ago.
Anne wouldn't be the last one to be beheaded in this cruel era or place either.
The King immediately went off to marry his mistress Jane Seymour. Who wouldn't be his last wive though, for Jane died only a year later.
This ATC I recently made for an ATC swap with Kimberly of ArtJoyStuff.
I've done some sewing work on this one.
The adorable chair charm is a present I got from Lisette. Isn't it cute?
Hugs and happy crafting,
xx Wen
Gorgeous card and tag, with all the beautiful vintage elements to go with the pics of Queen Anne Boleyn. Love the stitching and colors on the tag!

Such beautiful and elegant projects...love that little chair on the ATC!!
ReplyDeleteThis ATC is such sweetness, but the story of Anne Boleyn is such a sad & tragic one. I LOVE the Tudor era, everything about the realm of King Henry the VIII, the history, the architecture, etc. Your post today, brings me smile!. Have a good day! HUGS.
ReplyDeleteI just love this post. I enjoyed reading about the beheading of Ann Boleyn. I remember learning about that in school. A long long time ago. Your projects are gorgeous. I just love your style..

Liefs, Ira x

What a lovely card, sad story though...I watched the movie I think it was called The Boleyn Sisters, with Keira Knightly as Queen Anne, fascinating. Your mixed media card is beautiful and striking! Love that ATC too. Congratulations to your country on this historical event!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Adrienne
