Grey Dey in the Woods

Hello dear blogfriends,

You know, I actually don't have that much grey in the house. So, what to share at this Grey Dey? No vintage finds or homemade crafts today but a little dose of nature beauty. Call me crazy, but I have a crush on tree bark and moss.

And especially a heart shape in bark!

The textures of bark and moss can be so beautiful.
No need to look far from home,
beauty is all around you.

And I do know that this sweet beauty below
will probably steel today's show.

It's my neighbour's cat.

Bark or moss ain't gonna give you some nuzzling or purring :)

Sharing this bit of nature beauty (and some storage items) at Michelle's

Thank you Michelle, for hosting this sweet event!

xx Wen

  3. Hello my dear Wendy
Oh like you I just love all the beautiful shades of trees and their bark. Nothing comes near what nature can show us. Look at the beautiful lichen also. Amazing!

Love also your previous Grey Dey post - some very beautiful treasures plus your beautiful dog on the beach.
The greatest of pleasures are our pets.

Sending big hugs and have a lovely weekend sweet friend,

  4. Wauw, mooie foto's.

    Lieve groetjes, Daphne

  11. Hi Wendy,
thanks a lot for stopping by and leaving a comment under my rotten plums... ;-)
I like your little beauties of nature you captured with your camera!
In my last post (before the plums) I posted some very mystical old trees (mainly beeches) as well I found in the Vosges mountains, France, 1st of November. C'est la vie... ;-)
Sincères salutations / viele Gruesse / regards from Germany, Uwe.

  12. Oh, I so right there with traipsing through the woods loving every minute of being there. Nature's artwork is breathtaking.. like the heart on the tree and the moss that comes in so many forms. You did a great job capturing "grey"!

  13. Thank you Wendy, for taking the time to visit me and to inspire me with your thoughts.

Call me crazy but, I so get you.... You see passion in the most unusual ways, like the sweet art of bark, I so get you and I too would have taken notice of this bit of nature as well. I am inspired by the beauty in what one most of the time does not notice, thank you for noticing, and thank you for posting what you noticed.

    Keep inspiring your soul.

    Xoxo

  14. I love, truly love, your "natural" grey finds...the tree bark is stunning....you are a true artist....you funnel everything through the paradigm of artistry....it's a perceptual ability...you have it "in spades" as the old adage goes.

  20. Hi, Wendy! I do not think you are crazy at all. Several trees in my yard were chosen, in part, because of their bark's texture and color. The ones that peel are my favorites. I have crape myrtles, river birch and eucalyptus(my favorite).

Love your picture of the heart in the bark of the tree and the kitty is so pretty!

    Have a gorgeous weekend!
