Simply Neutrals #40

Cornwall rockpool shells by AppleApricot

Hello dears, welcome to Simply Neutrals! It's so wonderful to see new people joining SNT. A very warm welcome to you :) I hope you enjoy the gathering with us.

I'm busy decluttering at home (actually it's my third big round of decluttering, it's a process of years already), and while doing so I found some shells that I had brought home from a trip to Cornwall. Which brought me back to the Cornish beaches and rockpools. The long hours we spent there, enjoying the scenery, taking photos, watching the shells and rocks, the birds, the waves coming in and going out. Peaceful happiness.

Thousands and thousands of shell-creatures, clinging on to the rocks, waiting for the waves to come in and the water to rise again after low tide. Waves smashing against the rocks.

It's a miracle, how these tiny creatures can hold on to the rocks with such powerful waves crashing on them, again and again, hour after hour, day after day.

I'd love to go back to Cornwall.
I think I really wouldn't mind to live there!

Like I said, it's wonderful to see new people joining us at Simply Neutrals, and one of them is Jo from Let's Art Journal. I am completely in love with the beautiful collage she made and shared with us last week.

Thank you for sharing and linking your gorgeous work, Jo!

Dear Jo, this feature blog button is for you:

On to this week's party!

To join the party, please keep the following things in mind:

1) Please link only to the blogpost that contains the photo(s) you want to share, and not to your blog's homepage.

2) Kindly link back to AppleApricot by putting a link to my blog in your blogpost.

Of course you're most welcome to use the blog button of Simply Neutrals Tuesday as well
(which can be found in the sidebar of my blog)

3) Link ups to both new and older blog posts are welcome.
Of course it would be nice if you link up to a new or recent blog post, but if there is something from the archives you'd really want to link up here, then please feel welcome to do so.

4) You can link up from your blog, but if you do not have a blog but would love to link up from your instagram or other social media account, that's perfectly fine too.
Beware though, that may be not everyone can come visit and/or leave you a comment there.

5) Please take time to visit some of the other link ups and send them some love.
The most recently added link ups will show in the list first.

Time for the link up!

xx Wen

  1. Hello Dear Wen!
I hope you had a peaceful Easter. Your beach pictures from Cornwall are magnificent, especially that first picture. It is so amazing how different beaches have entirely different 'characters' - completely different environments and creatures. It looks cold there. Jo's collage in her journal was totally gorgeous. Her blog is full of lovely artworks. She is a real inspiration!
Have an inspired week yourself :) smile

  10. Cornwall sounds like a lovely place and someday I wish to visit there. Our neighboring city of Grass Valley is a Sister City to Cornwall. Many Cornish miners worked our gold mines and also introduced us to Pasties. Simply Neutrals are Simply Gorgeous. I am loving everything shared. Greige is a lovel color...<3
