Simply Neutrals 51 and Giveaway winner announcement

Birds fly south, colourful flowers and green leaves are almost all gone.

Days shorten and sunny daylight is scarce. The cold howling wind keeps me awake at night, rain pouring down against the windows. It's definitely autumn, almost winter.

My favourite tree in the street is no more.
It's gone.

No more flocks of Sterlings gathering at night near my window.
I feel sad.

With the heater on and a morning sun beam on my desk, it's nice and cozy inside. Tiny paintings appear in my forest journal. Slowly the pages are filled. Here a little and there a little.

We had some lovely walks in the autumn woods. It definitely is one of my favourite times of the year to be in the forest. Come join me for a little walk:

Dearest Jesse, the lace pouch with some tiny (some handcrafted) extras in it, will come your way! I hope you'll like it. I will send you an email.

Let's party, shall we?
Here is Simply Neutrals number 51...

FEATURE OF LAST MONTH

I am in love with this gorgeous vintage shabby French style journal cover dear Karen of RoostHeadDesigns created and shared with us! It's the style I kind of had as well in the beginnings of AppleApricot and it brings back fond memories of that time.

And now I feel like creating something in this style again :)

Dearest Karen, here is your feature blog button:

On to this month's party!

SIMPLY NEUTRALS #51

To join the party, please keep the following things in mind:

1) Please link only to the blogpost that contains the photo(s) you want to share, and not to your blog's homepage.

Of course you're most welcome to use the blog button of Simply Neutrals Tuesday as well
(which can be found in the sidebar of my blog)

3) Link ups to both new and older blog posts are welcome.

4) You can link up from your blog, but if you do not have a blog but would love to link up from your instagram or other social media account, that's perfectly fine too.

Beware though, that may be not everyone can come visit and/or leave you a comment there.

5) Please take time to visit some of the other link ups and send them some love.

Time for the link up!

xx Wen

  1. I have a love/hate relationship with autumn. The trees are so beautiful and the heat and humidity are gone...however....I know it's a prelude to the dreaded cold and ice of winter. Congratulations to Jesse, who has something lovely and bright headed her way!

  5. A beautiful way to bring Autumn to a close Wen, so many people wash it away far too quickly with the Christmas Season taking precedence. Thank you for walking us through the most beautiful of Seasons.

  7. Oh, Wen dear, thank you so much! I'm so sorry I am only now coming to our monthly Simply Neutrals - I'm running behind in many things with too many balls in the air. But your wonderful video of your walk in the woods has soothed and calmed me. I love the bird song - so different in every area. What a beautiful magic place to retreat to. And what a gorgeous sign to announce the winner, with its luscious lace and old book texture! Wow! I am very lucky!

Your nature journal is sweet with your drawings incorporated into it, and your collected nuts and plant pieces. So inspiring!

Karen's white journal is absolutely stunning. I just noticed I have missed a few of her older posts filled with her talent and I must catch up with everyone's posts and enjoy them all properly.
I will post here as soon as I can.
    Sending love to you,
    Jesse XXX
