Passing time wisely...

... when sniffing my way through the local thrift store
or my favourite vintage shop here in the neighbourhood.

A few weeks ago
I found this gorgeous vintage hand-embroidered table cloth in said shop.

You should see it in person, really.
The stitching is sublime!

My sweet little embroidered yellow flag on the other hand,
(done when I was ill, such a happy thing to do when not feeling too well,)
I dare not show you the back of it, lol!

(Below them is some thrifty fabric I found.)

Time Passing

is the word this week at Our Beautiful World
chosen by sweet Bonita.

Wishing you all a happy crafty and/or thrifty week.

That does look lovely! I always keep my eyes peeled for lovely linens too.
I found a beautiful milk glass piece today, as well as a really interesting glass bowl that looks like it was blown into a metal 'cage'.
So, it was a happy thrifting day here!

  7. Hello dear Wendy
I'm glad you have such a good nose for the beautiful things you find at your thrift store!!!
It's very pretty - as is your "W" cross stitch - I agree with you cross stitch is such a soothing pasttime.
It's been too long since I visited so I've had a good read through your previous posts - lovely.
I hope you're feeling better now.
    Hugs

  8. i have some beautiful old hand stitched things, a pillow case and some small runners that I purchased at a church rummage sale years ago. I love them still. Yours are absolutely lovely. One day I hope to stitch something myself but I just don't have the time to devote to it right now.
